The word LEAD is an acronym for Leadership. Empowerment. Attitude. Development. These four words are at the core of our organization’s objectives to provide lifesaving and life-changing opportunities for Nigerian youths towards ensuring their active participation as stakeholders on issues of national development within Nigeria and Africa in particular, and the world in general.
Mission
The mission of LEAD Nigeria is to provide educational resources, leadership opportunities, and a global network to connect, inspire and empower the next generation of Nigerian leaders.
LEAD Nigeria will provide a platform for Nigerians both at home and in the diaspora dedicated to Nigerian development with a collective voice and mechanism to promote sustainable Nigerian development by developing social entrepreneurial projects and campaigns within the context of their local communities on a local, national, and international level.
Vision
The vision of LEAD Nigeria is to bridge the gap between Nigerian youths and development by providing a platform on which Nigerian youths all across the globe can develop a unified voice in taking up active Leadership positions and collective action towards the social and economic development of Nigeria.
Core Principles
Activities of LEAD Nigeria are founded upon, and driven by, the following principles:
- Nigerians must be seen as primary stakeholders in Nigerian development and, as such, must be active participants in the decision-making and implementation process on issues of national development.
- Nigerian youths between the ages of 15-35 years are the catalyst for fundamental and transformative change and require support and resources to implement a social development campaign for sustainable social good.
- Diaspora Nigerians must take the lead in promoting projects and programs focused on Nigerian development while building sustainable partnerships for economic growth.
